Notice of Completion of Audit by Audit Wales

Please find below confirmation of the  completion of the external Audit by Audit Wales.

Notices will be displayed on the bus shelters and this website to confirm that any resident is allowed to see detailed accounts as approved by Audit Wales between the 13th November 2025 - 25th December 2025. Please contact:

PRECEPT PLANNING 2026/2027

On the  4th November 2025 the Council approved the PRECEPT. This is the payment we ask Wrexham CBC to ask residents for. In the forthcoming year we will not ask for an increase but keep the payment at the 2025/2026 level which is £10,000. This is roughly £70 per year for a Council Band D property.

Councillor's Allowance 

As a Community Councillor there is an entitlement to an allowance depending upon role within the Council. A Councillor is entitled to £156 pa and £52 for costs. The table below shows the payment made for 2024/2025.

PRECEPT PLANNING 2025/2026

On the 5th November 2024 the Council approved the PRECEPT. This is the payment we ask Wrexham CBC to ask residents for.

Because of an anticipated liabilities occurring from the Cemetery and the recent damage from the storms we are seeking to build up a financial pot to defray potential expenses. We want to retain the PRECEPT £10,000. We have again publicised our intentions on Facebook.

PRECEPT PLANNING 2024/2025

On the 5th December 2023 the Council approved the PRECEPT. This is the payment we ask Wrexham CBC to ask residents for.

Because of an anticipated liabilities occurring from the Cemetery and the recent damage from the storms we are seeking to build up a financial pot to defray potential expenses. We want to increase the PRECEPT from £6,000 to £10,000 for 2 years. We have publicised our intentions on Facebook and had no responses against this proposal and so approved the proposal.
